Thursday, July 24: Gunstock Public Bond Hearing

7:00 P.M. Main Lodge, Gunstock Recreation Area, 719 Cherry Valley Road, Gilford. Public input is sought. Gunstock is seeking approval for bonding large amounts for improvements to Gunstock Recreation Area including $950,000 Revenue Anticipation Notes to be repaid from operating receipts from 2008/9 ski season, proposed $525,000 General Obligation 10 year notes or bonds for road, bridge and sign repair, and $3,250,000 General Obligation 20 year notes or bonds for lift construction, trail and snowmaking improvements.

All Democrats from the county who love a parade - come join us! Wear the green Shaheen hats you have or come and get one! Carry a Sen. Deb Reynolds sign! Carry a Sen. Kathy Sgambati sign! Carry a Gail-Morrison-for-Register-of-Deeds sign! Carry signs for Representative candidates Liz Merry and Stanley Robinson! Bring Old Glory in your hand; wear a candidate's T-shirt or Belknap County Dems T-shirt. We need you!

7:00 P.M. Lynn Chong's dance barn, Sanbornton. Potluck supper, political talk, local candidates, appreciation for volunteers who've worked in Canal Street office and others deserving. Friday, September 26: 2nd Annual Evening with Granny D.

5:30 to 9:00 P.M. Meredith Community Center, 1 Circle Drive, Meredith. Catered by Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant - turkey dinner buffet, $25/person. Granny D speaking, major candidates invited, local candidates to meet, hear, mingle with. All Dems are needed and welcome. Quilt raffle drawing. This is our major fundraiser to provide financial help to Belknap County candidates in their run-up to the November election.
