4:30 to 8:00 P.M. Opechee Park (Clubhouse in event of rain), North Main Street, Laconia. Cost $5, children under twelve free. All welcome. Come meet candidates, have barbecued burgers and dogs a la County Attorney Jim Carroll! Potluck salads and desserts. Fun for all. Quilt raffle tickets for sale $5 each, 3/ $10. Saturday July 19: Old Home Days Parade, Sanbornton

12:15 A.M. Bodwells Tree Farm, Tower Hill Road. Line-up at 12:15, Parade begins at 1:00. All Democrats from the county who love a parade - come join us! Wear the green Shaheen hats you have or come and get one! Carry a Sen. Deb Reynolds sign! Carry a Sen. Kathy Sgambati sign! Carry a Gail-Morrison-for-Register-of-Deeds sign! Carry signs for Representative candidates Liz Merry and Stanley Robinson! Bring Old Glory in your hand; wear a candidate's T-shirt or Belknap County Dems T-shirt. We need you!

We will have a canopied booth in the field after the parade. This provides a good opportunity to distribute literature, particularly for Tilton/Sanbornton candidates. Join us at the booth.

SEN. SGAMBATI AWARDED AS OUTSTANDING SENATOR

CONCORD – Senator Kathleen Sgambati (D-Tilton) has been named the nation’s Outstanding State Senator for 2008 by the American Medical Association.

The AMA awards, known as the Dr. Nathan Davis Awards, recognize local, state and federal officials for public service in the advancement of public health. Sgambati’s selection by the AMA marks a first for any public official from the state of New Hampshire.
